I liked how Siddhartha didn't kill himself because he heard the word Om. I can see that Siddhartha is beginning to go back on his journey to find nirvana. I think that by also running into his friend helps him get back on track. I still wonder why he decided to stray off his journey to find nirvana, but now that he has found his friend I think he will continue towards his journey to discover nirvana. Yes I think that the river has to symbolize some sort of peace for Siddhartha, like the Genghis River.
