Mark Neumann- Second Post

I don't really know what this book is about all that much. From what I have read is that Siddhartha is basically going on a spiritual journey where the people he meets are the Hindu gods that he follows and apparently he learns lessons from some of them towards his journey to enlightenment. I don't understand this book to well and I can't seem to relate this book to Freedom at Midnight all that much. Anyways in this part of the reading Siddhartha strays from his Journey of Enlightenment in order to experience his own desires. At this point in the book it seems that Siddhartha is in his mid twenties or so and by the end of this part of the reading it says that "after 20 years or so" or something similar to that, he must be around 40 at the end of this reading.
My question to Zakaria is: Does this book make sense to you? and Do you see any similarity between this book and Freedom at Midnight?
